About Retention Policies
Retention policies control how long raw API response data is kept in each storage tier. Data moves from Hot (immediate access) to Cold (compressed, slower access) to Frozen (archived to Azure Blob Storage) based on the configured retention periods. This ensures efficient storage while maintaining audit trail requirements.
